Biography

Dr. Abla Abdel Latif is currently the Executive Director and Director of Research of The Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES). Prior to this role, she was a Professor of Economics at AUC.

She served as the Chair of Egypt's Presidential Advisory Council for Economic Development for eight years, until September 2024. In 2013, she was honored with membership of the Committee of Fifty, which was responsible for drafting Egypt's Constitution following June 30, 2013.
