Abeba Birhane is an Ethiopian-born cognitive scientist whose work explores the intersection of complex adaptive systems, machine learning, algorithmic bias, and critical race studies. She is the Founder and Principal Investigator of the AI Accountability Lab (AIAL) at Trinity College Dublin, a position she has held since 2024.
