Biography

Dr. Abdelhakim Shibli currently serves as the Minister of Finance. Prior to this role, he was the Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance from 2018 to 2024.

In his capacity as Secretary General, Dr. Shibli was instrumental in the formulation of economic and financial policies. He also oversaw the implementation of significant national and international programs aimed at fostering fiscal and economic stability, such as the Standby Arrangement (SBA) and the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
