Aaron Charles Rodgers is an American professional football quarterback who currently plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played college football for the California Golden Bears, where he set school records for lowest single-season and career interception rates. Rodgers was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft and became their starting quarterback in 2008 after backing up Brett Favre for three years.
